Synopsis
Raja Rani is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film directed by Atlee in his directorial debut.
The film stars Arya, Jai, Nayanthara and Nazriya Nazim, with Sathyaraj, Santhanam, and Sathyan appearing in supporting roles.
Produced by AR Murugadoss, the film follows John (Arya) and Regina (Nayanthara), who are forced into wedlock against their wishes. Both undergo a rough patch initially in their marriage as they struggle to get over their past romances.
Regina was previously in love with Surya (Jai), while John romanced Keerthana (Nazriya). The film explores how they forget their romantic past and come together, forming the rest of the story.
The film was released on 27 September 2013 and received positive reviews upon release.
