Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai is a 2015 Tamil-language political action thriller film directed by S. P. Jananathan.
The film stars Arya, Shaam, Vijay Sethupathi, and Karthika, and explores themes typical of political thriller cinema.
Set in India, the movie follows Balusamy, a communist leader who is sentenced to death for his group's actions against the government. His comrade Kuyili attempts to break him out of prison while coordinating with the jailer Macaulay.
The film was produced by Jananathan under Binary Pictures and UTV Motion Pictures, and features cinematography by N. K. Ekambaram and a score by Srikanth Deva.
Principal photography began in January 2014 and wrapped that December, with the film initially announced untitled before being re-titled Purampokku in 2015.
The soundtrack was composed by newcomer Varshan, and the film was released on May 15, 2015.
