
Jilla is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by R. T. Neason and produced by R. B. Choudary under Super Good Films.
The film stars Mohanlal as Sivan, a well-respected don in the area of Madurai, and Vijay as Shakthi, his adopted son who grows up with a vengeful hatred towards the Police uniform.
Shakthi's life takes a turn when he falls in love with Kajal Aggarwal, but ultimately decides to follow his father's path. The film explores themes of crime and law enforcement as Shakthi deals with his father's illegal work and an unknown assailant.
The cast also includes Soori, Mahat, Nivetha Thomas, Sampath Raj, and Pradeep Rawat, while the music is composed by D. Imman and the cinematography handled by Ganesh Rajavelu.
The film was released on 10 January 2014 and received generally positive reviews from critics and audience. It completed a 100-day theatrical run on 19 April 2014 and earned ₹85 crore at the box office, performing commercially better than its competitor Veeram.
