
Gajendra is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Suresh Krishna and produced by V. A. Durai.
The film stars Vijayakanth, Flora, and Laya, and is a remake of the Telugu film Simhadri.
Vijayakanth plays Gajendra, an orphan who grows up under Azhagarsamy's (Sarath Babu) family in Chennai. He develops feelings for Kasthuri (Flora Saini), Azhagarsamy's granddaughter, and forms a bond with Indhu (Laya), a mentally challenged girl he meets weekly.
Azhagarsamy decides to get Gajendra married to Kasthuri, officially adopting him as his son. However, their happiness is short-lived as they become embroiled in a battle against a powerful don, Rana, who seeks revenge against Gajendra.
The film features music composed by Deva, cinematography by V. Prathap, and editing by K. Thanigachalam. It was released on 17 September 2004 and failed at the box office.
