Aalwar

Aalwar is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by S. Chella in his directorial debut.

The film stars Ajith Kumar and Asin in the lead roles, alongside Vivek, Keerthi Chawla, Lal, Shwetha Bandekar, and Aditya Srivastava.

The movie follows a Hindu priest who seeks revenge against the corrupted temple trustee responsible for the death of his mother and sister. Disguising himself as a god, he kills to achieve his goal.

The film's score and soundtrack is by Srikanth Deva, while the cinematography was handled by G. Ramesh.

Aalwar released on 12 January 2007 to highly negative reviews but gave tough competition to Pokkiri. It was later remade into Bengali as "Jibon Niye Juddho".
