Petromax is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language comedy horror film directed by Rohin Venkatesan and serving as a remake of the Telugu film Anando Brahma (2017).
The movie stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Prem, Yogi Babu, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, Sathyan, and TSK.
The film centers on Saravanan, an NRI living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who returns to India after hearing the news of the Wayanad floods. He discovers his parents in the hospital mortuary and cries.
Four ghosts - Meera, Vijay Karuppaati, Nivetha, and Santhanam - are waiting eagerly for Vijay Karuppaati's wife to come home. They scare away a family visiting their ancestral home, prompting the broker Ganapathy to inform Saravanan and his cop friend Vetri about their presence.
The movie follows Saravanan's plan to have four people move into the property temporarily to prove definitively that there are no ghosts residing within it.
