Synopsis
Goli Soda is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by S.D. Vijay Milton.
The film stars Kishore, Sree Raam, Pakoda Pandi, and Murugesh as four adolescent boys who are orphans and work together in the wholesale vegetable and fruit market in Chennai, known as Koyambedu market.
They are mentored by Aatchi, a wholesale vegetable vendor, and their world is centered around this market. However, when they fall foul of the market's controller, Naidu alias NKB, things turn ugly.
The film was produced by Bharath Seeni under Roughnote Production and distributed by Thirrupathi Brothers. It was released on January 24, 2014, to critical acclaim and was remade in Kannada with the same name.
A sequel, Goli Soda 2, featuring an entirely distinct cast, was released in June 2018, followed by a miniseries sequel, Goli Soda Rising, released in 2024 on Hotstar.
