Synopsis
Veluchami is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Arul in his debut.
The film stars R. Sarathkumar, Vineetha, and newcomer Shruthi.
The story revolves around Veluchamy, who was raised by Periya Ayya after his mother's death and his uncle Maruthu tried to sell him as a child. Years later, Veluchamy becomes a kind-hearted man who helps the villagers and fights against injustice.
He marries Rasathi, but their union is complicated by his past and his desire to find happiness for Chinnamma, the young girl he raised as his own sister.
The film explores themes of love, family, and social class.
