Veera Abhimanyu is a 1965 Indian Tamil-language Hindu mythological film directed by V. Madhusudhana Rao and produced by Sunderlal Nahta and Doondi.
The film stars Gemini Ganesan leading an ensemble cast, with A. V. M. Rajan portraying the title character, Abhimanyu. The movie is based on Abhimanyu, a character from the Indian epic Mahabharata.
The plot follows Arjunan explaining the complexities of entering the Chakravyuha formation to his pregnant wife Subhadrai; their child, Abhimanyu, listens in utero. It also depicts Abhimanyu growing up at Dwaraka during the Pandavas' agnaatvaas (hidden birth), and a scene where he chases Uthrakumaran into King Virata's garden, meeting Uthrai there.
The film was released on 20 August 1965 and was simultaneously filmed in Telugu as Veerabhimanyu, with a largely different cast.
