Synopsis
Thodarum is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Ramesh Khanna.
The film stars Ajith Kumar, Devayani, and Heera in key roles, alongside Manivannan, Vadivelu, and Gemini Ganesan in supporting parts.
Thodarum is a remake of the 1996 Telugu film Maavichiguru. The movie follows Seetha, a possessive wife who suspects her husband Jayaram of being attracted to other women, particularly Meera from his office.
After Meera's presence causes tension in their relationship, Seetha is diagnosed with a deadly heart condition and decides to arrange for Meera to marry Jayaram. She even goes so far as to get a divorce from Jayaram to ensure he marries Meera.
In the end, Seetha dies, Jayaram and Meera get married, and they name their child Seetha in her memory.
