Sivakamiyin Selvan (1974) is a Tamil-language film directed by C. V. Rajendran and starring Sivaji Ganesan, Vanisri, and Latha.
The story revolves around Flight Lieutenant Ashok, an IAF pilot who secretly marries Sivakami. Following his death in a plane crash after their marriage, Sivakami informs her father about her pregnancy but soon faces another tragedy when he also passes away. Left alone with her newborn son, whom she names Ananth, Sivakami fears societal stigma and initially plans to adopt him from an orphanage the next day while intending to reveal his true parentage later.
A wealthy man arrives at the orphanage seeking to adopt a child; he takes Ananth, believing his previous losses were due to infertility. When Sivakami realises what has happened, she goes to the rich man's house and explains the situation.
The film is a remake of the 1969 Hindi film Aradhana, released on 26 January 1974.
