Pengal Veettin Kangal is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and co-written by T. P. Gajendran.
The film stars S. S. Chandran and K. R. Vijaya, and was released on 10 March 1990.
The story revolves around Dhanalakshmi, a tehsildar, and her husband Kanagalingam, who have five daughters. After their first daughter's marriage, the groom's father demands payment for the expenses, leading Kanagalingam to vow to get his other daughters married without paying dowry.
The daughters make it easy for him by falling in love with suitable grooms, and he manages to finalize their marriages. However, when the daughters return home due to problems in their in-laws' households, Dhanalakshmi's husband faces new challenges.
