Synopsis
Parthiban Kanavu is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Karu Palaniappan.
The film stars Srikanth and Sneha in the lead roles, with Sneha playing a dual role. Manivannan and Vivek are in supporting roles. The score and soundtrack are composed by Vidyasagar.
Parthiban Kanavu was released on 16 May 2003 and became a major success, winning seven Tamil Nadu State Film Awards including Best Film. It was remade in Telugu as Ammayi Bagundi in 2004.
The film tells the story of Parthiban, a young executive who falls in love with a girl he sees at a bus-stop, only to discover that she is also his arranged marriage match. A bizarre twist follows immediately after.
