Synopsis
Paarai is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by K. S. Ravikumar.
The film stars R. Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Meena, and Ramya Krishnan, with music composed by Sabesh–Murali.
The movie is a remake of the Malayalam film Mahayanam and was released on 13 June 2003.
Durai Raj, played by R. Sarathkumar, is a lorry driver who becomes a recluse due to an unhappy childhood. His friend Ramu, played by Jayaram, leaves to visit his own family after which Durai goes through a series of unexpected events.
After Ramu's death in an accident, Durai decides to settle in the village where Ramu's family needs his help, and builds a small house according to his friend's last wish.
