Jathi Malli

Jathi Malli is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language film directed by K. Balachander.

The story revolves around Sriranjini, a ghazal singer who visits a hill station to forget her mother's murder. She meets Kesavan, a taxi driver who shares his own painful past of losing his family members to his father's drunken rage.

Sriranjini and Kesavan develop an aloof relationship despite mutual admiration, while they encounter lovers Vineeth and Yuvarani, who are from different religions and eloped to defy their parents' wishes.
