Aegan

Aegan is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language masala film directed by Raju Sundaram and produced by Ayngaran International.

The film stars Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara, alongside Suman, Nassar, Jayaram, Navdeep and Piaa Bajpai. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while cinematography and editing were handled by Arjun Jena and V. T. Vijayan.

The story follows Shiva, a CB-CID officer, who embarks on a covert mission to protect the daughter of a fugitive by posing as a college student. He must also navigate his complicated family relationships with his father's estranged first wife and his half-brother Narain.

Major John Chinnappa is a scientist who had created tablets by operating on human guinea pigs, posing a threat to the country. Shiva must balance his duty as an officer with his personal life and protect his country from the intruders.

Aegan was released on 27 October 2008, coinciding with Diwali, and received mixed reviews from critics.
