Synopsis
Arivaali is a 1963 Indian Tamil-language film directed by A. T. Krishnaswamy, who also wrote the screenplay and produced the movie.
The plot centers on Aalavanthan, a hardworking graduate assisting poor farmers while opposing the rule of Zamindar Azhagu Singam. His close friend Muthuvel, a social activist-journalist, aids him but faces personal conflict when he falls in love with Thangalakshmi, an uneducated village woman whom he marries against his father's wishes and despite disliking his father-in-law's actions.
Thandapani Pillai, another wealthy character, seeks a suitable marriage for his arrogant daughter Manorama, offering significant wealth including Rs. 1 lakh and 60 acres of land as part of the potential solution to their intertwined conflicts.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and P. Bhanumathi in its lead roles.
