Velan

Velan is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by debutant Kavin and produced by Skyman Films International.

The film stars Mugen Rao, Soori, and Meenakshi Govindarajan, with supporting cast members including Prabhu, Thambi Ramaiah, and Hareesh Peradi.

The movie follows the story of Velan, who gets into trouble with his father Palanisamy due to his privileged behavior. He falls in love with Ananya, a Malayali college mate, but a mix-up causes her father to fix him up with Vidusha instead.

When the confusion is cleared up by Velan and Dineshan without hurting anyone's feelings, particularly when the girl's father and Velan's family enemies plot against them, the story unfolds.

The film features music composed by Gopi Sundar and was released in theatres on 31 December 2021.
