Synopsis
Vaanam Kottattum is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Dhana and co-written with Mani Ratnam.
The film features an ensemble cast including R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Madonna Sebastian.
Produced by Mani Ratnam under the banner of Madras Talkies, the movie follows a father whose single error leads to his separation from his family. Years later, upon reuniting with them, this same mistake manifests again in a profoundly emotional manner towards the film's climax.
The central narrative revolves around Selva, who witnesses his paternal uncle being stabbed as a young boy. His father Bose Kaalai takes him to the hospital and kills those responsible for his brother's condition, leading to his family's separation.
