Synopsis
Ulkuthu is a 2017 Tamil-language action comedy drama film directed by Caarthick Raju.
The movie is set against the backdrop of a small coastal town where crime and exploitation are prevalent, ruled by loan sharks Kaka Mani (Sharath Lohitashwa) and his brother Saravanan (Dhilip Subbarayan).

The story follows Raja, who saves Sura Shankar after his friends chase him on the beach, and becomes friends with him. He falls in love with Kadalarasi, Shankar's sister. Meanwhile, Saravanan swears revenge against a police inspector after he is brutally beaten by Shankar's men.
The film features Dinesh and Nandita Swetha in leading roles, and was first announced in late 2014 before finishing production in September 2016.
