Synopsis
Thunivu is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language heist action thriller film written and directed by H. Vinoth.
The film stars Ajith Kumar alongside Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Ajay, and Veera.
Principal photography commenced in April 2022 in Hyderabad, followed by schedules in Chennai and Thailand, which wrapped up by late-November 2022.
The film features music composed by Ghibran, cinematography handled by Nirav Shah and Vijay Velukutty.
Boney Kapoor produced the film under Bayview Projects LLP and Zee Studios. The official title was announced in September 2022, replacing the tentative title AK61.
Thunivu follows Dark Devil and his team as they devise and execute a daring bank heist to find the corporate looted people's money.
The film was released theatrically on January 11, 2023, during the week of Pongal.
