Synopsis
Theeran Adhigaram Ondru is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by H. Vinoth and produced by S. R. Prakashbabu and S. R. Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures.
The story follows Theeran, a police officer, as he investigates a series of brutal murders with the same pattern. With the help of his team, Theeran works to decipher the underlying connection between the crimes and identify the mastermind behind them.
The film is based on true incidents handled by the Police department in Tamil Nadu during the late 1990s and early 2000s. It stars Karthi as Theeran, modelled on Director general of police S. R. Jangid, alongside Rakul Preet Singh and Abhimanyu Singh.
The film was written by H. Vinoth and had been planned for the script even before his debut film Sathuranga Vettai (2014). To research further, he met many police officers who handled similar cases.
