Rekka

Rekka is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film written and directed by Rathina Shiva.

The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Lakshmi Menon, and Sija Rose in the lead roles, alongside Sathish, K. S. Ravikumar, and Sriranjani in supporting roles.

Produced by B. Ganesh, the film features a musical score by D. Imman and cinematography handled by Dinesh B. Krishnan.

The plot revolves around two main characters: Cheliyan and David, who are fierce enemies. Following an incident where Cheliyan kills David's brother, the latter swears revenge but waits for a suitable moment to strike back.

Shiva is a young man from Kumbakonam whose family actively supports him, which unfortunately brings trouble upon Shiva when he intervenes in David's personal life by preventing his marriage with a girl who had rejected him.

The film was released on 7 October 2016 along with Remo and Devi, receiving mixed reviews from critics.
