The movie follows Pariyan (Kathir), a law student from an oppressed caste, who forms a friendship with Jothi Mahalakshmi (Anandhi), a girl from an upper caste.
As their relationship deepens, Pariyan faces harassment and discrimination from Jothi's family members, leading him to confront the harsh realities of caste oppression.
The film is Selvaraj's directorial debut, drawing inspiration from his 2012 short story collection Thamirabaraniyil Kollapadathavaragal and 2013 serial Marakave Ninaikiraen.
