
Pannaiyarum Padminiyum is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by S. U. Arun Kumar in his feature directorial debut.
The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Jayaprakash, Thulasi, and Aishwarya Rajesh, with Bala Saravanan, Neelima Rani, and Mahadevan in supporting roles.
The story revolves around an ageing landlord who falls in love with a vintage Fiat Premier Padmini car. He appoints Murugesan, a tractor driver, as his personal driver, and the car becomes an all-purpose vehicle for the villagers.
The film explores the bond between the landlord, his wife Chellamma, and Murugesan, as well as their heartbreak when the car is taken away.
The music for the film was composed by debutant Justin Prabhakaran, editing was handled by A. Sreekar Prasad, and cinematography was done by Gokul Binoy.
The film was released on 7 February 2014 and won six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, including Third Best Film.
