Padaiveeran

Padaiveeran is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Dhana.

The film stars Vijay Yesudas and debutant Amritha Aiyer, with Bharathiraja and Akhil in supporting roles.

Music for the movie was composed by Karthik Raja, editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan, and cinematography by Rajavel Mohan.

The story follows Muneeshwaran (Vijay Yesudas), a young jobless man who promises his childhood sweetheart Malar (Amritha Aiyer) that he will complete training and marry her.

The film is set in modern times in a rural village in Theni in south India, where communal riots due to caste are portrayed.

Padaiveeran was released on 2 February 2018.
