Synopsis
Nedunalvaadai is a 2019 Tamil drama film written and directed by debutant director Selvakannan. The film was produced by B-Star Productions.
The narrative draws inspiration from a poem found in Sangam literature, focusing on themes of separation – specifically exploring the rift between an elder figure and his younger family member, as well as that same young man's connection with another woman.
Eswar is raised by his grandfather, Poo Ramu. He spends his formative years within their shared village environment. Eswar develops feelings for Amrutha (played by Anjali Nair), whose mutual attraction forms a significant part of the story.
Poo Ramu becomes aware of his grandson's romantic interest in Amrutha and expresses reservations about pursuing a relationship with her, citing the need for Eswar's strong support within their family structure as his primary concern. The central question driving the plot is whether Eswar will prioritize his personal feelings and choose to be with Amrutha, or remain loyal to his family obligations.
