Synopsis
Meendum Oru Mariyathai is a 2020 Tamil-language drama film directed by Bharathiraja.
The film stars Bharathiraja alongside Nakshatra, Joe Malloori, and Mounika, and was bankrolled by Manoj Kumar under his banner, Manoj Creations.
The production was handled by N.R. Raghunanthan for the music composition, with Sabesh–Murali credited for the score. Cinematography is handled by Salai Sagadevan.
The plot centers on a young girl named Venba who contemplates suicide due to personal issues and her encounter with an elderly man in his seventies, Om, who has been abandoned by his son.
Their shared misfortune leads them to form an unlikely friendship during a 10-day trip they take together to an exotic location. This journey serves as a catalyst for positive change in both their lives.
The film premiered at the 2018 South Asian Short Film Festival and was released on February 21, 2020, after facing production delays that began in 2014.
