Maan Karate

Maan Karate is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language fantasy sports comedy film directed by Krish Thirukumaran and written by AR Murugadoss.

The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Hansika Motwani, and Vamsi Krishna in leading roles. Four IT professionals meet a hermit inside a jungle who predicts their futures by giving them a leading Tamil newspaper that will be printed four months later.

They track down Peter, a normal middle-class guy who is supposed to win Rs 20 million in the Tamilnadu boxing championship after four months. Peter is sponsored by the IT professionals and trained for the match. Meanwhile, he meets Yazhini in a mall and it's instant love for him.

The film features an ensemble cast including Sayaji Shinde, Yogi Babu, Sathish, Shaji Chen, Preethi Shankar, Ashwathy Ravikumar, Rajesh Gopalan, and Vinu Karthik in supporting roles. The soundtrack and background score are composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The film was released theatrically on 4 April 2014 to mixed reviews from critics. It was remade in Telugu as Tuntari (2016).
