Kuttram Kadithal is a 2015 Tamil-language independent drama film written and directed by Bramma in his debut.
The film was produced by J. Satish Kumar and Christy Siluvappan under the JSK Film Corporation and Chris Pictures banner, and stars Master Ajay, Radhika Prasiddha, Sai Rajkumar, and Pavel Navageethan.
The movie explores a spectrum of lifestyles and how one unexpected incident influences people from diverse backgrounds. The title of the film is derived from the 44th adhikaaram (chapter) of the Thirukkural, where Thiruvalluvar alludes to avoiding mistakes.
The story follows Merlin, a newly married school teacher who accepts to substitute for one of her colleagues, leading to an unexpected turn of events. This decision results in Chezhiyan, a naughty student, collapsing and going into coma. Chezhiyan's mom is a single parent and auto driver, while his uncle Udayan is a communist who fights back against the carelessness of the rich.
Kuttram Kadithal was released on 24 September 2015 and had been screened at various film festivals before its theatrical release. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil ahead of its release.
