Synopsis
Kootathil Oruthan is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film directed by T. J. Gnanavel in his directoral debut.
The film stars Ashok Selvan and Priya Anand, with music composed by Nivas Prasanna. It was produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and Ramaniyam Talkies.
Arvind, an average student, develops a liking for Janani during his school days. Janani secures state rank in 12th board exams and aspires to become a journalist, joining a Journalism College where Arvind also enrolls. Despite their past connection, Janani is unable to recall him when he confesses his feelings.
Arvind embarks on a journey of self-discovery after being rejected by Janani, who turns him down and says he needs to achieve something in life. The film follows Arvind's travails as he tries to re-enter Janani's world.
The movie was released on 28 July 2017.
