Synopsis
Imai is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language spy action thriller film directed and produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
The film stars Vikram alongside an ensemble cast consisting of Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and Vinayakan.
Set in the same universe as Menon's Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha (2024), the movie follows a covert operative leading a team of elite professionals known as "The Basement" in their secret mission to take down terrorist organisations without being bound by law and order.
The film was initially announced with Suriya in 2013, but production was delayed due to creative differences. It finally began production in 2017 and was shot in seven countries.
