Vettri Vizhaa is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Prathap K. Pothen and produced under Sivaji Productions during the Diwali holiday.
The movie stars Kamal Haasan and Prabhu in their first collaboration as lead actors, alongside Sasikala and Khushbu as the female leads, with Amala making a guest appearance.
It is loosely based on the novel The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum. The story follows an amnesiac trying to put his life back together, who becomes increasingly suspicious of his own past.
The film was released on 28 October 1989 and completed a 175-day run at the box office. It is the first film in which Kamal Haasan and Prabhu co-starred.
Filming took place primarily in Goa and Chennai, with cinematography handled by Ashok Kumar, editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan, and art direction by B. Salim.
