
Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language sports drama film written and directed by Suseenthiran.
The film stars debutant Vishnu Vishal, Kishore, and Saranya Mohan along with numerous other newcomers.
The music was composed by V. Selvaganesh, while the cinematography was handled by Laxman Kumar and editing by Kasi Viswanathan.
Marimuthu, a poor goat herder from a remote village near Madurai, dreams of winning a kabbadi tournament with his childhood friends Ayyappan, Sekar, Murthy, Appukutty, Subramani, and Pandi.
The film follows their journey as they participate in a State-level tournament with the help of professional coach Souda Muthu, ultimately emerging as winners despite initial expectations of an early exit.
Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu was released on 29 January 2009 and was successful at the box office, leading to its remake in Telugu as Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu (2010) and Hindi as Badlapur Boys (2014).
