Vellore Maavattam

Vellore Maavattam is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by R. N. R. Manohar and starring Nandaa and Poorna in lead roles.

Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film was released on October 5, 2011.

The movie follows Officer Muthukumar as he fights against a dreaded don named Gurumurthy, but soon gets embroiled in a brawl with the corrupt system following Gurumurthy's death.

Nandaa played a police officer for the first time and underwent 35 days of training at the Hyderabad Police Academy to prepare for his role.

The film features music composed by Sundar C. Babu, and received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its realistic approach to police films.
