Vellai Roja is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by A. Jagannathan and written by A. L. Narayanan.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Ambika, Prabhu, and Radha, and is a remake of the 1982 Malayalam film Post Mortem.
Set in a town, the story revolves around Father James, a Catholic priest who helps arrange the marriage between Mary and Johnny, Parisutham's son. However, Peter, Johnny's brother, becomes suspicious when he overhears part of a conversation between James and Mary about her pregnancy.
The film was released on 4 November 1983 and ran for 100 days in 13 centres.
