Synopsis
Vedi is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Prabhu Deva.
The film stars Vishal, Sameera Reddy, and Poonam Kaur, with Vivek, Sayaji Shinde, and Urvashi playing supporting roles.
It is a remake of the Telugu film Souryam. The story follows Prabhakaran (Vishal), a young police officer who goes to Kolkata in search of his sister Aishwarya (Poonam Kaur).
A local don, Easwaramoorthy (Sayaji Shinde), seeks revenge on Prabhakaran after he thrashed him in public and put him behind bars. The enmity escalates when Easwaramoorthy joins another gangster to target Aishwarya and her friend Parvathy (Sameera Reddy).
Parvathy falls in love with Prabhakaran, while the two men's enmity continues.
The film was released on 30 September 2011 across various screens in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka.
