Synopsis
Vanna Vanna Pookkal is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Balu Mahendra.
The film stars Prashanth in the lead role alongside Mounika and Vinodhini, and was produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu.
The plot follows Siva, a kindhearted man who rescues Manoranjitham from a forest incident and brings her home despite his despairing neighbor Shenbagam's secret affection for him.
Complications arise as Siva falls in love with Manoranjitham, arranging their marriage. However, on the wedding day, she mysteriously disappears and is found at her deathbed, where she dies due to a serious illness.
The film was released on 15 January 1992 and won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil, achieving significant commercial success with a hundred-day run at the box-office.
