
Vallavan is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language masala film directed by Silambarasan and starring himself alongside Nayanthara and Reema Sen.
The film follows Vallavan, a happy-go-lucky college student who falls in love with Swapna, a lecturer three years his senior. To woo her, he disguises himself as Pallan, an ugly duckling with buck teeth and thick glasses.
Produced by P. L. Thenappan, the film's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The dialogues are written by Balakumaran, and supporting roles are played by Sandhya, Santhanam, Premji, and Sathyan.
Vallavan was released on 21 October 2006 and received mixed reviews, becoming a decent hit at the box office. Its songs became chartbusters.
