Vairam is a 1974 Indian Tamil-language action spy film directed by T. R. Ramanna and written by T. K. Balu.
The movie stars Jaishankar and Jayalalithaa, with supporting roles played by M. R. R. Vasu, S. A. Ashokan, and R. S. Manohar.
It is a remake of the 1972 Hindi film Victoria No. 203.
The plot revolves around a horse-drawn cart driven by its owner, Senthil Nathan (Jaishankar), who witnesses a crime and goes to jail. His daughter Jayalalithaa disguises herself as a man to manage affairs while driving the cart. Two convicts escape jail and discover clues about hidden diamonds, leading to a search involving Senthil Nathan's son, Raja (Jaishankar), who helps retrieve the diamonds from antagonists.
The film was released on 24 May 1974 and became a box office hit.
