Vaa Kanna Vaa is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language film directed by D. Yoganand and produced by Santhi Narayanasamy.
The movie stars Sivaji Ganesan, Sujatha, Major Sundarrajan, and Jai Ganesh.
It serves as a remake of the Telugu film Raa Kanna Raa.
The story features contrasting couples: young lovers Ramu and Seetha who constantly fight, and an old couple Naidu and Papa who are deeply devoted to each other.
Ramu defies his wealthy father (Naidu) and moves in with Seetha. The older couple gradually adopts Seetha as family and becomes integrated into her life. However, this brings problems between Seetha and Ramu, particularly after Seetha has a child.
Naidu and Papa strongly support Seetha and become very attached to her child. Eventually, Ramu reconciles with his father, leading him to accept Seetha as his daughter-in-law after relenting due to family ties.
The film was released on 6 February 1982.
