Synopsis
Thagapansamy is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Shivashanmughan and produced by Tiruchi Gopalji.
The film stars Prashanth and Pooja, with Namitha, Karunas, and Vincent Asokan playing supporting roles. Music for the film was composed by Srikanth Deva.
The story follows Kathirvel, a do-gooder who goes to great lengths to get water for his village, which is struggling under drought. He hires Shanmugham, a water-divining expert, to dig a well, but tragedy strikes when Shanmugham and his family are killed in an accident.
The villagers then decide to leave their homes to find employment elsewhere. The film had a delayed release on 28 December 2006 after going through production problems.
