Tata Birla is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Srinivasa Reddy and produced by Bekkam Venugopal.
The film stars Sivaji, Krishna Bhagavan, and Laya in lead roles and is a remake of the same title in another language. The story follows Tata (Sivaji) and Birla (Krishna Bhagavan), two petty thieves who dream of planning a big robbery one day.
They eventually realize the happiness of life and decide to quit being thieves after meeting Mahalakshmi (Laya), a wealthy heiress. However, it is revealed that the deal was to kill Mahalakshmi, and that the man responsible for the deal was her uncle Gajapathi (Tanikella Bharani).
Tata falls in love with Mahalakshmi, and she also develops feelings for him.
