Seetha is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by S.A. Chandrasekhar.
The story follows Seetha (played by Kanaka), who returns to her village after studying in the city and leads a peaceful life with her parents. However, her tranquility is shattered when Boopathy, the son of the local zamindar, becomes infatuated with her but she refuses his advances.
Boopathy's obsession escalates to violence; upon being rejected again, he kills Seetha's father. Forced to flee their home due to grief and fear, Seetha and her mother move to the city where Seetha secures employment and rents a house.
However, Boopathy does not relent and tracks them down, continuing his harassment and attempts to disrupt their lives in the new environment. The narrative then involves Boopathy finding their address and pursuing further actions against Seetha's life.
The police are eventually involved when they attempt to intervene following an incident related to Boopathy at her city residence.
