Synopsis
Seerivarum Kaalai is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Ramarajan and starring Ramarajan and Abitha.
The film tells the story of Kaalaiyan, a do-gooder who falls in love with his sister's friend Kamakshi, who is being harassed by her sister-in-law Rukku. Despite initial hesitation, Kamakshi reciprocates Kaalaiyan's love and they elope to get married.
However, their happiness is short-lived as Rukku's men violently attack them, leading the doctors to warn Kaalaiyan that Kamakshi's health would be endangered if she were to bear a child. Despite this, Kamakshi conceives, and the film follows their journey.
The film stars Ramarajan and Abitha in lead roles, with Manorama, Vichithra, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Anandaraj in supporting roles.
