Savaal

Savaal (1981) is an Indian Tamil-language masala film directed by R. Krishnamoorthy.

The movie stars Kamal Haasan, Jaishankar, Vijayakumar, Sripriya and Lakshmi in its cast.

Its soundtrack features music composed by M. S. Viswanathan.

Savaal was released on 3 July 1981 and is a remake of the 1974 Hindi film Haath Ki Safai.

The plot follows brothers Shankar and Raja, who lose their mother and become separated when they board a goods train to seek survival in the city. Years later, Shankar has become a smuggler while Raja leads a life as a petty pickpocketing criminal. Radha, a wealthy girl, falls in love with Raja, and it is through this connection that the brothers eventually reunite.
