Sarvadhikari is a 1951 Indian Tamil-language historical adventure film directed by an unknown filmmaker. The movie stars M. G. Ramachandran and Anjali Devi, with M. N. Nambiar playing the antagonist.
The plot revolves around Mahavarman, an ambitious minister aiming to depose a puppet king in Manipuri. He realizes that the popularity of the commander-in-chief Prathapan is an obstacle. To undermine him, Mahavarman sends Meena Devi to seduce Prathapan, but she unexpectedly falls in love with him.
After various twists and turns, Mahavarman's plot unravels. In a climactic scene, he is exposed and defeated in a thrilling duel against Prathapan. Following this, Ugrasenar becomes the first president, while Prathapan takes on the role of commander-in-chief, transforming Manipuri into a republic.
The film was based on the 1948 American movie 'The Gallant Blade' and established M. N. Nambiar as a major star. The music was composed by S. Dakshinamurthi.
