Synopsis
Samudhiram is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. S. Ravikumar and written by Erode Soundar.
The film stars Sarathkumar, Murali, Manoj Bharathiraja, Kaveri, Abhirami, Sindhu Menon, and Monal.
The movie follows the story of Selvarasu, whose two brothers are willing to sacrifice their lives for him, and his close relationship with his sister Rasamani.
A wealthy man from a neighboring village proposes marriage to Rasamani as revenge against Thangarasu, one of Selvarasu's brothers.
The film features music composed by Sabesh–Murali and was released on August 31, 2001.
It became a box office success and was remade in Telugu as Siva Rama Raju, in Bengali as Kartabya, and in Kannada as Paramashiva.
