Sadhurangam

Sadhurangam is a 2011 Indian Tamil language political thriller film written and directed by Karu Palaniappan.

The film stars Srikanth and Sonia Agarwal, and follows the story of Thirupathisamy, an investigative journalist who fearlessly brings out issues in the prevailing political system, earning him many enemies.

Thiru falls in love with Sandhya, a college student, but their happiness is short-lived as she gets kidnapped and he receives threatening calls. As Thiru tries to uncover the truth behind his daughter's disappearance, he uncovers corruption and deceit that lead him to suspect influential figures such as Singaperumal.

The film was in development hell for years before its release on October 7, 2011, after being revived in September of the same year.
