Synopsis
Puzhal is a 2010 Indian Tamil language prison film directed by Azhagu Rajasundaram.
The film stars newcomers Hemachandran, Mano, Murali, Aswatha, Archana Sharma and Sonam Singh, with Manobala, Ponnambalam, Kadhal Dhandapani and Kadhal Sukumar playing supporting roles.
Produced by T. Tamil Amudhan, the film had a musical score by Nallathambi and was released on 3 September 2010.
The story follows three youth, John, Muthupandi and Ameer, who are from different backgrounds and enter Puzhal Central Prison on charges of murder. They bond with each other and take revenge against the jail warden Pottu and gangster Arumaidoss after a brutal incident occurs.
The film features several flashbacks that tell the story of how the three youth landed in jail, including their personal struggles and relationships.
